Members Receive Discounted or No-Fee Access to Club Events

The EMBA Alumni Club and EMBA Program sponsor several key events throughout the year that are available to alumni and students including networking & social, skills development workshops, speaker programs, and special interest sessions.

EMBA Alumni Club Members will enjoy many of these at no cost or will pay a greatly reduced fee. It pays to be a member! Attending one or two events generally covers the cost of annual club membership.

Membership dues help contribute to covering the cost of these great events as well as helping to build an endowment fund.

Executive Crunch

The Executive Crunch speaker series was created to provide access to continuing education opportunities that help our EMBA Program Alumni stay relevant in their careers in the ever-changing world of business. Data analytics, blockchain, digital transformation, design thinking, artificial intelligence, machine learning. New technologies and terminology abound. How does an executive get enough information to stay informed and apply practical business decision-making processes to help them as much as their businesses stay ahead in these critical assessments.

Developing hiring strategies, effective networking, mentoring and succession planning, finding "good" sources of information and filtering out the noise. How does one keep pace and build or maintain the critical skills necessary to manage the dynamics of the rapidly changing workplace environment?

These topics and more are at the heart of the Executive Crunch.

Each year as the J. Mack Robinson EMBA Program and Executive Education curriculum evolves, the EMBA Alumni Club seeks to offer EMBA alumni access to a "crunch" session to help alumni gain a level of insight into these new topics through sessions guided by faculty, alumni, and experts in the field.

The Executive Crunch provides a brief, topical session that provides practical strategies and information that you can take to work the next day.

Our subject matter is determined by current trends and popular demand. If there is a topic of interest to you, please feel free to let us know by contactinga member of the Career Development and Education Committee or another Board member.

Leadership Exchange

The mission of the Leadership Exchange program is to inspire, empower, and support the continued growth of EMBA students and alumni.

We do this by providing access to mentoring and networking opportunities, which cultivate relationships, increase confidence, and contribute to the ongoing professional development and growth.

Throughout the Leadership Exchange Program, participants have the opportunity to observe, interact with, and learn from other leaders as well as enhance their leadership capability.

The program is based on a 12-month commitment and includes monthly meetings between mentors and mentees, as well as quarterly lunch-and-learn events that cover a variety of relevant topics including negotiation, communication, and personal branding.

Find out more by visiting the GSU Leadership Exchange website.

The Leadership Exchange Program is open only to EMBA students and alumni, ensuring like-minded focus,  stages of career development, and interests in pursuing personal growth. Success of the program is dependent on alumni like YOU who are willing to participate as a mentor (or mentee).

Women's Leadership & Networking

The Women's Networking Events have been designed to serve the unique needs and interests of EMBA women in leadership.

On March 8th each year, the World Affairs Council hosts the International Women's Day Breakfast. The Council and J. Mack Robinson College of Business extend a gracious invitation to students and alumni to attend this wonderful event where notable speakers share their stories and insights related to the annual event theme.

Each October, the EMBA Alumni Club hosts a Women's Networking Event with a guest speaker discussing a topic of current interest or relevance, open to the EMBA women students, faculty, administration, and alumni.

Junior Achievement (Community Service Activity)

"Imagine a generation of students armed with the confidence and understanding to take control of their futures and equipped to achieve their dreams."

Junior Achievement helps students develop the business skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and financial literacy to build confidence in themselves and their abilities as they move toward envisioning their futures.

Each year, JA hosts BizTown where students refine these skills with the support of volunteers from the EMBA Alumni Club,  Program students, and GSU undergraduates who serve as mentors and board members to help sixth and seventh grade students review and refine their business plans and presentations.

This is the most fun and rewarding experience we offer each year.

Co-Branded Networking Event

DID YOU KNOW that only J. Mack Robinson offers an EMBA Alumni Club?  ((ssshhh! let's keep the secret))

No other school offers an alumni club that focuses specifically on serving the unique interests of EMBA alumni.

To share collective experiences and ideas among our peers in the Georgia community, we have created an annual co-branded alumni event that brings together alumni and students from the other regional programs: Emory, KSU, GTech, UGA. It offers a great, casual way to extend your network.

Some events offer friendly competition (Top Golf, Painted Pin); so bring your school spirit.
